Bio: Mary M. Brabeck, PhD
Mary M. Brabeck, PhD, is a professor in the Department of Counseling, Developmental, and Educational Psychology and dean of the Peter S. and Carolyn A. Lynch School of Education at Boston College. She earned her PhD from the University of Minnesota in 1980, is a licensed psychologist, and is a fellow of the American Psychological Association (APA; Division 35, Psychology of Women; Division 52, International Psychology). Her research interests include ethical sensitivity and the moral self, professional ethics, and intellectual and ethical development. She has published over 60 book chapters, essays, and journal articles and edited Who Cares? Theory, Research and Educational Implications of the Ethic of Care (Praeger, 1989). She has been an active member of Division 35 of APA and has served as task force chair and fellows committee chair for the division.
