CONVERSATIONS: Is a Journal that provides a Forum for Spiritual and Psychological Formation published by Richmont Graduate University (formerly PSI), in Atlanta, GA. CONVERSATIONS is published twice a year (Spring and Fall), at $10 per edition or $15 per year. Please click on the Order Journal Online button to order Coversations.

The Journal seeks to stimulate honest dialogue for those seeking a community within Christian Thinking that draws upon classical wisdom and practice to facilitate authentic personal transformation. Each issue is built around a theme from the Spiritual Formation Literature: This issue is crafted around 'Gifts From the Monastery.' The editors endeavor to produce interdenominational and ecumenical articles that will inspire both those who seek help themselves and those who are helping others.

Educational Objectives

• Gain an appreciation of spiritual formation and authentic transformation
• Gain an understanding of the monastic practices that promote spiritual formation
• Learn how to bring 'the gifts' of a monastery into everyday living for yourself and your clients
• Understand the vision of leaders in ancient and modern monasteries
• Become fluent in the vernacular of monastic life and personal authentic transformation

Syllabus / Course Instructions

• The Course consists of reading the material (available at www.Conversationsjournal.com), successfully completing an online posttest and filling out a course evaluation.
• Purchasing your course will give you access to both a printable copy of the test and an online version. Print the test to use as a companion as you read the book and answer the questions.
• You cannot exit the online test once you begin, so have your answers available.

Bio: David G. Benner, Larry Crabb and Gary W. Moon

Founding Editors
Dr. Larry Crabb is a well-known psychologist, author, seminar speaker and Bible teacher. Dr. Crabb has written many best-selling books and he is the founder and director of New Way Ministries. He serves as a Spiritual Director for the American Association of Christian Counselors and he is Scholar in Residence of Colorado Christian University.

Gary Moon received his M.Div. and Ph.D. from Fuller Theological Seminary. He is vice president for spiritual development and professor of psychology and spirituality at Richmont Graduate University in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a visiting professor at Emmanuel College, Alliance Theological Seminary (Manila, Philippines) and Georgia State University, and he has worked in clinical psychology practice for more than a decade. Moon serves as director of research and development for LifeSprings Publishing. He has written articles and presented papers on a variety of topics for a wide array of academic journals, popular magazines, and professional seminars and conferences. His books include Homesick for Eden: Confessions About the Journey of a Soul (LifeSprings, 1996, Servant, 1997), The Bible Ride (3 volumes, Servant) and Falling for God (Waterbrook).

David G. Benner is Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Spirituality at Richmont Graduate University in Atlanta, Georgia. A psychologist, spiritual director and retreat leader, Benner has written and edited many books, including the Baker Encyclopedia of Psychology and Counseling and Care of Souls. He is an executive editor of the journal Conversations.
