Dr. John L. Romano is Professor of Educational Psychology at the University of Minnesota. He co-founded the Prevention Section of the American Psychological Association (APA) Society of Counseling Psychology. He was the first recipient of the Sections Lifetime Achievement Award. He was principal investigator on several US Department of Education school personnel training grants to prevention prevent substance abuse and promote safe schools. He has received research awards from the American Counseling Association, and he is an APA Fellow in Divisions 17 and 52 (Counseling Psychology and International Psychology).RECOGNITIONS
